Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission UKSSSC has banned 8 recruitment examinations. While leaving after resigning, UKSSSC Chairman had sent a letter to the government to stop the recruitment. The post of the Controller of Examination which has been lying vacant for eight months, is the responsibility of the Secretary. More than 3 lakh candidates are waiting for these recruitments.
Presently UKSSSC is surrounded by controversies in the paper leak case, has banned 8 recruitment examinations to be held for about 4200 posts of Group C in Uttarakhand. The chair of the controller of examination is vacant in the commission for eight months. Before resigning, angry President S Raju has sent a letter to the government to stop 8 examinations for upcoming recruitments. More than 3 lakh unemployed are waiting for these recruitments.
Just before the assembly elections, the government had set a target of filling 20,000 posts. Against this target, the UKSSSC had released recruitment notifications for about 4200 posts of Group C. All the application process has also been completed. The Commission does not have a controller of examination to fulfill the responsibility of these recruitments of various departments including Forest Department, Police, Revenue Department, Energy Corporations.
Previous Controller of Examinations Narayan Singh Dangi has retired in December. S Raju, who was the Chairman of the Commission, says that since December, he has been demanding to fill the post of Controller of Examinations from the government, but till date it has not been filled. Under the improvisation, at present the responsibility of the controller of examination is with the secretary.
More than 3 lakh youth are waiting for the Exams like Patwari-Lekhpal, Police Constable, Forest Guard, Assistant Accountant Re-Exam , for which a large number of youth have applied. The examination for these recruitments was expected to be held in the next six months. It is being told that more than 3 lakh youth are waiting for these 8 recruitment examinations.
The controller of examinations has already retired. After this, the full responsibility of the recruitment of the commission lies with the Secretary. S Raju says that if there are sudden transfers of the officers holding these posts, then there is no one to handle the system further. For this, he has also been continuously demanding that responsibility should be given to the posts of Assistant Secretary and Assistant Controller of Examinations.
