Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has released the advertisement for the engagement of Trade Apprentices in the South Eastern Railway under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 reading conjunction with Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and Apprentices Amendment Act 2014. South Eastern Railways invites applications from eligible candidates for the apprenticeship. Total No. of Post is 1785. Matriculation (Matriculate or 10th class in 10+2 examination system) from a recognized board with min. 50% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and an ITI Pass certificate (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) granted by NCVT.
The Applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01 Jan 2020.
The selected applicants are required to undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 01 year.
Selected candidates engaged as Apprentices will undergo Apprenticeship training for a period of one year and will be paid a Stipend during the training at the prescribed rate as per extant rules governed by the concerned state government.
Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared to take the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. There will be no written test or VIVA.
