Now UTET certificate holders can also apply to Uttarakhand Board and get the stamp of life validity on UTET certificate. Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) I and II certificates will now be considered valid for life instead of seven years. This validity will be deemed to be effective from 11 February 2011.

There are more than 70,000 UTET certificate holders in Uttarakhand. Many of these candidates are such that the validity of their certificate has expired. There is a question in the mind of those UTET holders that how their certificate will be considered valid for life. In such a situation, as per the instructions of the state government, Uttarakhand Board of School Education, Ramnagar is putting the stamp of lifetime validity on the certificates of these UTET holders. If a youth does not apply, he can download the mandate giving lifelong recognition from the website of the board. The copy of the mandate will also be recognized.
To become a teacher in primary and junior high school, it is mandatory to pass UTET I & II examination. UTET was started in Uttarakhand from the year 2011. The validity period of the certificate of UTET to be conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education Ramnagar was up to seven years. So far, the UTET exam has been conducted nine times in the state. The board will conduct UTET for the 10th time on 26th November.
