Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), Dehradun has invited online application from Indian Citizens for engagement of 56th Batch (for Non-ITI & ITI candidates) of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The number of vacancies is approx. 228 including ITI and Non-ITI Candidates as part of OFB’s Skill India Mission. Interested and Eligible Candidates may apply online from 10 Jan to 09 Feb 2020.

Educational Qualification

For Non-ITI Category

Should  have  Passed  Madhyamik  (class  10th  or  equivalent)  as  on  date  of  notification  for  applying  with  minimum  50%  marks  in  aggregate  and  with  40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.

For ITI Category

Should  have  passed  relevant  trade  test  from  any  institute  recognized  by  NCVT  or  SCVT  or  any  other  authority  specified  through  Gazette  notification  of  Ministry  of  Skill  Development  and  Entrepreneurship / Ministry  of  Labour  and  Employment  with  duration  as  per  the  Apprentice  Act  1961  plus  passed Madhyamik / Class 10th or equivalent (Minimum 50% aggregate marks both in Matriculate / Class 10th and ITI). The relevant trade to be considered will be   strictly   on   the   basis   of   Schedule   I   of   Apprentice   Act   1961   (and amendments thereof).

Stipend

During 01st year of training

70% of the minimum wages of Semi-Skilled workers notified by the respective state or Union Territory

During 02nd year of training

80% of the minimum wages of Semi-Skilled workers notified by the respective state or Union Territory

During 03rd year of training

90% of the minimum wages of Semi-Skilled workers notified by the respective state or Union Territory

Duration of Training

For Non-ITI and ITI candidates: Duration of Training period shall be as specified in the Apprentice Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments thereof.  However, for ex-ITI  candidates,  training  period  will  be  reduced  as  per  schedule  I  of  Apprentice  Act,  1961  and  Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments thereof in the respective trade.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the merit list. The merit list will be prepared separately for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI Category.

How to Apply

Interested & Eligible Candidates may apply online through the official website i.e. www.ofb.gov.in from 10 January to 09 February 2020. No other modes/means will be accepted.

Application Fees

  • Rs.100 for General & OBC Candidates.
  • NIL for all others.

List of Documents to be uploaded Online

Legible  scanned  copy  of  following  original documents  in  pdf  or  JPG/JPEG  format  with  size  100 KB to 200 KB:

  • Scanned copy of Identity Card in the absence of Aadhaar.
  •  SSC (Matriculation / 10th Standard) or its equivalent mark sheet.
  • Certificate  for  proof  of  date  of  birth  (10th  Standard  or  its  equivalent  Matriculate certificate  or  mark  sheet  indicating  date  of  birth  or    certificate  indicating the date of birth).
  • Consolidated  mark  sheet  for  all  semesters  of  the  relevant  ITI Pass  trade against which applied / Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
  • National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT for ITI passes candidates
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates, wherever applicable.  For OBC Non-Creamy layer candidates, the candidates should also upload their OBC Non-creamy layer certificate issued in the last three years.
  • Physical Disability certificate, in case of a PH/PWD candidate issued by the competent Medical Board/ Authority.
