Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) has released advertisement for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (GD) in BSF through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2018-19. Total No. of Post is 224. Last Date of Application form submission is 26 October 2018. The post of Sub-Inspector (GD) is Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial (Combatised). These posts are purely on temporary basis but likely to become permanent in future.
The Border Security Force (BSF) is the primary Border Guarding police force of India. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India. It is a Central Armed Police Force charged with guarding India’s land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-6 (Rs.35400-112400/-)
Constables (GD), Head Constables (GD) and ASI (GD) will be eligible to appear in the said LDCE. Tradesmen, who meet QRs of SI/LDCE, are also eligible to appear in SI/LDCE.
(a) Service Eligibility: They should have completed four years of service, including basic training.
(b) Upper Age: The upper age limit for appearing in the LDCE will be 32 years.
(c) Qualification: The required qualification will be graduation, qualification which is also the eligibility for Direct Entry Sis.
(d) Clean Record: They should have maintained minimum Good APARs grading of last four years and should have “unblemished clean record of entire service until issue of offer of appointment”.
Selection of the candidates will be based on Checking of service records, Written Exam, Physical Measurements, PET and Medical Examination. These are divided into 5 stages:
(A) Stage I: Checking of Service Records: No marks are allotted for this stage. However, it should be ensured that candidates maintain Good APARs of last 04 years and unblemished service record of entire service.
(B) Stage II: Written Examination: There will be one question paper of objective type multiple choice questions consisting of 200 marks with 3 ½ hours duration.

(C) Stage III: Physical Measurements: As applicable to SI Direct entry candidates.
(D) Stage IV: Physical Efficiency Test (PET): It will be of qualifying nature consisting of the following items:

(E) Stage V: Medical Examination: Detailed medical examination of those candidates who come out successful in the written, PST & PET will be conducted.
Interested candidates may send the dully Filled application form in the given format to any one of the following address (given in original notification below) nearest to the candidate on or before 26 October 2018. One recent passport size photographs should be affixed each on the application forms and admit cards. Covers containing the application must be super scribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (GD) THROUGH LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION-2018-19”, and Centre of Examination with centre code.
