Desirable :
(a) Ph.D in the area of Glaciology/three years research experience in the specialized field of Glaciology.
(b) Field experience in the following fields of Glaciology:-
– Physical Glaciology: Glacier Mass Balance and Dynamics, Glacial Geomorphology, Glacial Sedimentology, Glacial Seismicity and Remote Sensing.
– Climate Change: Atmospheric Sciences, including Atmospheric Chemistry, Physics, Meteorology, Snow/Ice Melt Water Chemistry and Isotope Studies.
– Glacial Hydrology: Snow/Ice Melt Water Discharge, Sediment Transfer, Englacial and Subglacial Hydrology.
– Environmental glaciology, including Ecology.
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of qualification and experience mentioned in the application form and will be called for interview.
