VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry, Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal invites applications for recruitment of Research Associate. These positions are purely contractual basis in the project entitled “All India Coordinated Research Project on Small Millets Improvement (ICAR)”. The positions are purely contractual basis till the positions get filled in the project on regular basis. The Date of Interview will be held on 20 September 2018.

| Research Associate (Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Seed Science & Technology)- 01 No. | Essential: Ph.D. in Genetics & Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology OR Master’s degree in Agriculture (Genetics & Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology) having 1st division or 60% marks equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience. Desirables: Published research papers, Knowledge in statistical analysis and documentation of experimental data, knowledge of computer and full willingness to work in field. |
(i) Consolidated fixed salary of Rs.40, 000/- + 10% HRA per month for PhD holders. (ii) Consolidated fixed salary of Rs.38, 000/- + 10% HRA per month for Master Degree Holders. |
| Research Associate (Entomology/Plant Pathology)- 01 No. | Essential: Ph.D. in Entomology / Plant Pathology OR Master’s Degree in Agriculture (Entomology / Plant Pathology) having 1st division or 60% marks equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience. Desirables: Published research papers, knowledge of insect pests and disease diagnosis in field, statistical analysis and documentation of experimental data, knowledge of computer and full willingness to work in field. |
(i) Consolidated fixed salary of Rs.40, 000/- + 10% HRA per month for PhD holders. (ii) Consolidated fixed salary of Rs.38, 000/- + 10% HRA per month for Master Degree Holders. |
The period of appointment will be initially for six months which can be extended further subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate on 6 monthly review basis.
The selection of the candidate will entirely depend on the performance in the interview.
