Government of Uttarakhand has advertized 339 Police Sub-Inspector, Platoon Commander Jobs in Uttarakhand Police Department. Candidates of Uttarakhand state may apply for the 339 posts of Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander.
Note: Advertisement Notification Feb 2014 for recruitment of Sub-Inspector, Platoon Commander will be again in process after High Court Nainital decision to change the maximum age from 27 to 28 years.

Sub Inspector Civil Police – 257
Sub Inspector Intelligence – 39
Platoon Commander PAC – 43
Stipend During Training – Rs 3500/-
Pay Scale – Rs 9300 – 34800/- + GP Rs 4200/-
For the above vacancies candidates need to have done Graduation (12th in case of Ex-servicemen). All candidates should have valid registration in employment office of the state at the last date of submission of application.
Age Limit: From 21 to 28 years as on 1-7-2014.
Application Fee: Applicant belonging to UR & OBC category needs to pay Rs 100/- and for SC/ ST applicants needs to pay Rs 25/- through treasury challan.
Candidates for Uttarakhand Police will be selected through merit prepared on the basis of Physical Fitness & Written Exam. Final selection will be after completion of Medical Test.

Written Exam (300 Marks Objective Test)
The completed application along with exam fee, attested photocopies of necessary documents needs to be sent to the SSP/SP Office (recruitment centre) of any district. Affix self addressed Rs.5/- stamps on top of the envelope and send envelop by Post or by hand till 01 Oct 2014.
