Indian Army has released the notification for unmarried male and female LAW GRADUATES for grant of Short Service Commission (NT) in the Indian Army for 25th Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch. The enrolment is for the course commencing in October 2020 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai Tamil Nadu. The applications for the enrolment should be received from 15 January to 13 February 2020.
The Indian Armed Forces are the federal military forces of the Republic of India. It consists of four professional uniformed services: the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Armed Forces are under the management of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), which is led by the Union Cabinet Minister of Defence. With the strength of over 1.3 million active personnel, it is the world’s 3rd largest military force and the largest standing volunteer army in the world.
Total No. of Post: 08 (Men-06, Women-02)
Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination). The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
21 to 27 years as on 01 July 2020 (Born not earlier than 02 July 93 and not later than 01 July 99 both dates inclusive)
Note: The date of birth accepted by the office is that entered in the Matriculation or an equivalent examination certificate. No other document relating to age will be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
The candidates will be given the pay scale of Rs.56, 100 pm (Starting pay in Level 10).

Candidates will be shortlisted and cut-off percentage of marks for each discipline will be fixed by Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cut-off the percentage will be interviewed. Date of Interviews will be uploaded on the official website.
Candidates will put through a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews are five days excluding day of arrival.
Candidates are required to register themselves online through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. No other mode of application is acceptable. The submission of online application will be accepted until 13 February 2020.
