Uttarakhand Science Education & Research Centre (USERC), Dehradun has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow & Field Assistant under DST (SEED Division) funded project “ Livelihood Enhancement for Mountain Rural Women Farmers through Value Chain Promotion of Selected Crops in Uttarakhand”. These posts are purely project based and on contractual basis. Interested candidates may appear in the walk-in on 11 October 2018 at 11:30 am.

| JRF | M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Environment Science, Forestry, Botany), MSW | Should have at least 5 years’ experience of working in field and good knowledge of MAPS. Preference will be given to the candidates having field experience and must having working experience with community mobilization like producer group and cooperative etc. | (i) Nursery development, transplanting, cultivation, weed management, plant protection, pruning & harvesting management etc. of Basil, Rosemary and Chamomile (ii) Organizing multi-stakeholder workshop on project objective & joint implementation (iii) Developing bi-products of these crops, e.g. Spices, Blended tea, oil, etc. |
| Field Assistant | Graduation from the recognized university or Intermediate (10+2) | Experience of working in field preferably on MAPs (medicinal and aromatic plants) |
(i) For JRF- Max Age – 28 Years;
(ii) For Field Assistant- Max Age – 45 Years
(i) For JRF – Rs.25000/- pm for NET JRF/GATE Qualified or Rs.16000/- pm;
(ii) For Field Assistant: Rs.15000/- pm consolidated
Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of interview marks.
