Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released advertisement for the recruitment of Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II (Allopathic). Total No. of Post is 771. These posts are on regular basis. These posts are on all India basis in ESIC Hospitals/Dispensaries. Interested candidates may apply online from 12 October to 10 November 2018.

Employee’s State Insurance (abbreviated as ESI) is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian workers. This fund is managed by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) according to rules and regulations stipulated there in the ESI Act 1948. ESIC is an autonomous corporation by a statutory creation under Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Education Qualification: Candidates applying for the above posts having the following qualifications:
  • A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-Section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Completion of the Compulsory rotating internship.
  • Registration with the Medical Council of India.
  1. Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 10 Nov 2018.
  2. Pay Scale: Level-09 of Pay Matrix (Rs.53100-167800) as per 7th CPC.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the official website www.esic.nic.in on latest by 10 Nov 2018. No other modes/means of application will be accepted. Some important points to be noted by candidates before applying online:

  • Before applying online candidates should scan their Photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), Signature (with black ink).
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.

Application Fees

  • Rs.250 for SC/ST/PWD/Departmental Candidates, Female Candidates & Ex-Servicemen
  • Rs.500 for all other categories.

Note: This fee of Rs.250/- shall be refunded duly deducting Bank Charges as applicable, on appearing of the candidate in the Part-I Written Examination.

Selection Procedure

Selection of the Candidates will be based on the Written Test & Interview marks. The examination will be conducted in two parts/stages as indicated below:

  • Part I – Written Examination: The Written Examination (Computer Based) shall be Objective Type Multiple Choice of total 200 marks. The syllabus & Scheme of Written Exam is under:
