Indian Army has released the notification for enrolment on the grant of 54th Short Service Commission (Technical) for married/unmarried Male and 25th SSC for Female candidates (including widows of defence personnel for tech & non-tech entry) engineering graduates in the Indian Army in all Arms/Services. The enrolment is for the course commencing in April 2020 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The applications for the enrolment should be received latest by 24 July 2019 to 22 August 2019.

It consists of four professional uniformed services: the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Armed Forces are under the management of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), which is led by the Union Cabinet Minister of Defence. With the strength of over 1.3 million active personnel, it is the world’s 3rd largest military force and the largest standing volunteer army in the world.

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 April 2019 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate.

Age Limit
The candidates will be given a pay scale of Rs.56, 100 pm (Starting pay in Level 10).
Candidates will be shortlisted and cut-off percentage of marks for each discipline will be fixed by Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cut-off percentage will be interviewed. Date of Interviews will be uploaded on the official website.
Candidates will put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival.
Candidates are required to register themselves online through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. No other mode of application is acceptable. The submission of online application will be accepted till 22 August 2019.
For Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness through Offline:-
Eligible candidates may send their application in the prescribed format (attached below) to Rtg-A(WE) section, Dte Gen of Rtg, AG’s Branch, Integrated HQ, Ministry of Defence (Army), West Block-III, R K Puram, New Delhi- 110066 on or before 30 Sep 2019, Along with Following Documents:-
