The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Head Constable (General Duty) against Sports Quota for the year 2019 for which the posting could be anywhere in the country. Total No. of Post is 300. Interested Candidates may submit their application on or before 17 Dec 2019 (24 Dec for North-East Candidates).

CISF is a Central Armed Police Force in India and was set up under an Act of the Parliament of India on 10 March 1969 with a strength of 2,800. CISF is the largest industrial security force in the world. It is directly under the federal Ministry of Home Affairs and its headquarters are in New Delhi.

12th pass from a recognized educational institution with credit of representing state / national /international in games.

18-23 years as on 01 Aug 2019

Pay Matrix Level-4 (Rs.25,500-81,100)

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates will be based on Trial Test, Proficiency Test, Final Selection and Medical Selection.

(a) Trial  Test  in sports events

Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be put through the trial test in the sports event to which he/she belongs.  The trial test will be qualifying in nature. This organization will not be responsible for any accident/injury caused to the candidate during the course of trial/test.

(b) Proficiency Test

Those who qualified in the Trial test will be put through the Proficiency Test of 40 marks.  The minimum cut off marks in Proficiency Test for all events /sports will be 20 marks. Those who fail to secure the qualifying marks will be issued a rejection slip. Additional marks out of 10 will be accorded to the candidate having a meritorious certificate/achievement in the respective sports event.

(c) Final Selection

Final Selection of candidates will be made strictly according to merit taking into consideration the performance of the candidates during the course of Proficiency Test and the achievement/performance of the candidates during the last edition will also be taken into consideration.

(d)Medical Examination

Finally, selected candidates will be medically examined and their appointment in the CISF would be subject to their fitness in the medical examination as per the instructions issued from time to time.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates may send their application in the prescribed format (attached below) to related DIsG/ CISF on or before 17 Dec 2019 (05:00 PM) and in case of residents of North East region by 24 Dec 2019 (05:00 PM) along with attested photocopies of certificates. The list of enclosures required to be attached with the application duly self-attested:

  • Matriculation certificate in support of age.
  • All certificates in support of educational qualifications.
  •  Cast Certificate viz SC, ST, OBC or EWS
  •  Certificate in support of belonging to Hill/Tribes, men/women, if seeking relaxation in height and chest.
  • Sports certificates related to event/discipline.
  •  Two recent passport size photographs.
  • Application fee of Rs.100/- in the form of Postal Order/Demand Draft drawn in favor of the related officer and payable at the post office. SC/ST & Female candidates are exempted from application fees.

Application Fees

  • Rs.100/- for General & OBC Candidates.
  • Nil for all others.
