Candidates appearing for the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission UKPSC recruitment examinations will no longer need to give attendance by hand. UKPSC is going to start the process of attendance with no physical touch.
Till now UKPSC examinations have paper attendance as well as biometric attendance. This traditional attendance system is ending after the corona epidemic. Therefore, UKPSC has decided to use Face Recognition and Iris Recognition technology for the attendance in the examinations. For this, the commission has put out a tender.
Under this, the company will be selected for three years tenure. All the candidates who take the exam will have to go through both these processes. The company working on behalf of the commission will be provided with the candidate’s roll number, photo, name, exam date and shift information. On this basis, this process will be implemented for the candidate.
As of now, there is a provision for biometric attendance in most examinations. In this, all such cases have come up all over the country, when copying has been caught by using the thumb impression incorrectly. But the process of identification of the Iris is the best yet. Scientifically it is clear that the Iris of one eye cannot be like the Iris of the eye of another person. Nor can a duplicate of the Iris could be made.
Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission UKSSSC is also preparing for iris and face recognition. Till now, biometric has been used in Group C recruitment examinations. In the coming time, UKSSSC may also take a decision on this. After this all the candidates appearing for Group C examination will also have to undergo both these identities.
