Intelligence Bureau (IB) of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for Direct recruitment to the post of Security Assistant (Executive). Total no. of posts is 1054. Note: Candidates applying for the vacancies of a particular SIB/Center are required to possess knowledge of any one of the local language(s)/dialect(s) indicated against it. They should be able to read, write and speak in that language/dialect.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification: The eligibility conditions for the posts of Executive are as follows:
  • Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and
  • Knowledge of any one of the local language/dialect mentioned in the official notification.
  • Field experience in Intelligence work.
  1. Age Limit: Not exceeding 27 Years.
  2. Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000 (PB-1) plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.
  3. Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
  4. Service Liability: The post involves All India Transfer liability. Therefore, the candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be based on Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test. These are divided into 3 Tier.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates may apply online through the MHA’s website www.mha.gov.in or NCS portal www.ncs.gov.in only from 20 Oct to 10 Nov 2018 till 23:59 Hours. The application must be submitted ONLINE only.

Examination Dates

  • Rs.50 for General & OBC Candidates.
  • Nil for SC/ST, Ex-servicemen & Female candidates.

Modes of Payment

The examination fee can be paid offline or online AFTER A GAP OF ONE WORKING DAY FROM THE DATE OF REGISTRATION.

  • Offline Payment (Cash Deposit): The applicant will be required to take a printout of Challan form & deposit the fee in cash in any branch of SBI after a gap of one working day.
  • Online Payment: The applicants having Internet Banking, ATM-Cum-Debit Card and Credit Card of SBI, including RuPay Card or any other bank can pay the fees through ‘SBI Collect’ option.
