Latest Update : 400 Bandi Rakshak (Jail Guards) Recruitment in Uttarakhand Jails
Uttarakhand Government is now going to fill the vacancies of 400 Bandi Rakshak (Prison Guards) in Jails. Prison Administration has given a proposal to newly formed USSSC for the recruitment of 400 Bandi Rakshaks in Uttarakhand Jails. For Ardh Kumbh 1200 homeguards will also recruit in Uttarakhand.
There are total 636 posts of Bandi Rakshak in various prisons in Uttarakhand. Out of which 400 posts are vacant for a long time. Presently Homeguards and Ex Servicemens are working temporarily on these posts.
Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (USSSC) will shortly start the recruitment of Bandi Rakshaks in Uttarakhand.
The vacancies of Bandi Rakshak (Prison Guards) will be filled through a three stage recruitment process –
Stage 1 : Medical Fitness Test
Stage 2 : Physical Fitness Test (same as constable recruitment)
Stage 3 : Written Test
As per changed qualification for Bandi Rakshak (Prison Guards) recruitment, candidates have to 12th class pass and age between 21 to 35 years.
