Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released advertisement for the recruitment of Bandi Rakshak (Jail Guards) in Utttarakhand Jails. UKPSC has invites online applications to fill up the 238 vacancies of Bandi Rakshak (Jail Warders) in various Jails of Uttarakhand. There are 261 posts of Bandi Rakshak (Males) and 24 posts of Bandi Rakshak (Females).
Total Posts : 285
Educational Qualification : Class 12th Pass & knowledge of Hindi in Devnagiri lipi.
Age Limit : 21 to 35 Years as on 01 July 2020 for candidates who had applied earlier (01 July 2022 for new candidates)
Salary : INR 21,700 – 69,100 (Level 3)

Candidates should have pass Class 12th and knowledge of written Hindi in Devnagiri.
21 Years to 35 Years as on 01 July 2021 for candidates who had applied earlier (01 July 2022 for new candidates)
Interested and Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website www.ukpsc.net.in from 15 Nov to 05 Dec 2022. No other mode/means of application will be accepted.
New users have to register themselves through OTR (one-time registration) on the UKPSC official website and then apply for the post.
No application fee is to be taken for Jail Warder (Bandi Rakshak) Exam 2022.
1. Candidates have to go through Physical Measurement Test.
For Males :
– Height : 165 cm or 5’5″ (160 cm or 5’3″ for Hill Candidates, 157.5 cm or 5’2″ for ST Candidates)
– Weight : 55 Kgs
– Chest : 78.8 cm (83.8 cm with extension) & for Hill Candidates/SC/ ST 76.3 cm (81.3 cm with extension)
– Eyes : 6/6 on both eyes
For Females :
– Height : 152 cm (147 cm for Hill Candidates, SC, ST Candidates)
– Weight : 45 Kgs
– Eyes : 6/6 on both eyes
2. After qualify Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Exam (100 Marks) will be conducted & 50 marks is minimum marks to qualify. Physical Efficiency Exam includes –
For Males :
– Cricket Ball Throw
– Long Jump
– Chinning Up
– Sit Up/ Pushups
– Running
For Females :
– Chinning Up
– Running
3. Written Exam : There will be a 2-hour objective type written test of 100 marks which will have General Hindi, General Knowledge, General Studies related questions. The written examination syllabus will be available on the website of the Commission.
