Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried Male candidates for filling up posts of Cook, Steward, and Sweeper for October 2020 batch. Total No. of Post is 400. An online application is invited from unmarried Male Indian citizens and subjects of Nepal & Bhutan. Interested Candidates may apply online from 23 November to 28 November 2019.
The Indian Navy is the naval branch of the armed forces of India. The President of India serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), usually a four-star officer in the rank of admiral, commands the navy. The primary objective of the navy is to secure the nation’s maritime borders; India also uses its navy to enhance its international relations through joint exercises, port visits and humanitarian missions, including disaster relief.

A stipend of Rs.14600 pm will be admissible during the training period. |
(1) Chef: They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement
(2) Steward: They would be required to serve food in the officers‟ messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of the menu, etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
(3) Hygienist (Sweeper): They will be required to clean toilets and other areas. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement
Selection of the candidates will be based on the order of merit on their performance in Computer Based Exam, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 23 November 2019 to 28 November 2019. No other modes/means will be accepted.
Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.215/- through online mode.
