Sahestra Seema Bal (SSB) under Ministry of Home Affairs invites applications from male Indian citizens for various posts of Constable for a sportsperson. This recruitment will be done under General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) on 150 posts of constable (GD). SSB has released the notification for the recruitment of 150 Constable (Under Sports Quota) posts. Interested Candidates may apply online from 13 July to 11 Aug 2019.

The post will carry Pay. Matrix Rs.21700-69100/- as per 716 CPC and other allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/ instructions. The selected candidates for the post of CT (GD) under Sports Quota will be governed under the Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (New Pension System).
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of documentation, checking of sports achievements and field trials, check of sports achievement, field trial, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
Interested candidates may apply online through the official website www.ssbrectt.gov.in from 13 July to 11 Aug 2019. No other modes/means will be accepted.
The selection of sportsperson who fulfill the eligibility criteria shall be considered in the following order of preference:
| First Preference | Candidates who have represented the country in an International Competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and won Gold Medal will be given first preference followed by Silver (2nd Preference) and then Bronze Medallist (03rd Preference) |
| Second Preference | Candidates who have represented and won medals or positions up to 3rd place in the Senior or Junior Level National Championship organized by the recognized National Sports Federations or National Games organized by Indian Olympics Association and secured gold medal will be given first preference followed by Silver (2nd Preference) and then Bronze Medallist (3rd preference). Between the Senior and Junior Levels, candidates who have won the medal in Senior National Championship shall be given preference. |
