Assam Rifles has released notification for the recruitment of Rifleman/Riflewoman (General Duty) for Assam Rifles Meritorious Sportsperson Quota Recruitment Rally 2019. The Recruitment Rally will be held at Directorate General Assam Rifles, Laitkor, Shillong (Meghalaya), NRS-Guwahati. Assam Rifles has invited online application from eligible Male & Female Indian citizens for filling up 116 vacancies. Interested candidates may apply online on or before 17 March 2019.

Note:
Interested candidates may apply online through the official website i.e. www.assamrifles.gov.in on or before 17 March 2019. Applications will be accepted through online mode only.
The General & OBC Category candidates will pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.100/- only. No fees are charged from SC/ST/Female Candidates. After filling up the application, the candidates have the option to make an online payment via the link given for online payment or alternatively, the payment can be made at any SBI counters as well. In both the options, the candidate will have to upload a copy of the challan or receipt online. Candidates while reporting for PST, Field Trial and Detailed Medical Examination will produce an original copy of payment receipt /challan for official records. In case of non-submission of receipt, I challan the candidature of such applicants may be rejected.

Selection of Candidates will be based on Candidate Verification, Initial Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Weight Measurement. Candidates who are found eligible in PST will undergo Field Trial. Candidates who qualify in Field Trial in respective sports discipline will undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The candidates who qualify in all respects will be placed in Merit List depending upon discipline wise vacancies allocated.
