Department of Science & Technology, Survey of India invites applications for the 07 posts of Motor Driver-Cum Mechanic in its Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata and Jabalpur offices.

Pay Scale: Rs 5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay and Other Allowance

Age Limit: 18-27 years for GEN category, 18-32 years for SC/ST category, 18-20 years for OBC as on 29-04-2014.

Essential Qualification

  1. 10th pass or ITI equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of Hindi/English.
  3. Driving licence for both heavy and light vehicles , valid for hilly areas
  4. Knowledge of maintenances of the vehicles
  5. Knowledge of the works of fitter, Motor Mechanic.

Desirable Qualification

  1. 1 year experience as Motor Mechanic in any repair workshop/Garage.
  2. Certificate/Diploma in automobile trade from any recognised institution.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected through the test and interview for assessment of actual knowledge of Motor Driving and its maintenance repair.

Candidates can apply through duly filed form and submit at any above Offices/GDCs with following documents enclosed-

  • One self addressed 10X22 c.m. size envelope duly affixed worth Rs. 22/- Postal Stamp on it.
  • Attested photo copies of Educational qualification, valid Driving License, Caste certificate, Date of Birth certificate in support.
  • Attested photo copies of experience certificate of Motor Driving, Vehicle repairing work and certificate/diploma of Automobile trade if any.
  • Two pass port size photograph of the candidate duly attested by a Gazetted officer one should be affixed on the application form.
