The pattern of the Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment process going on in Uttarakhand is going to change. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has sent a proposal to the government for this. It states that the mode of any recruitment will be decided by the commission and not the department.
According to the requisition (recommendation) from the department, there should be first physical and then written examination for these recruitments. Because of this rule, the commission was puzzled as to how the physical examination of such a large number of youth would be done.
Therefore, the Commission has decided after meeting that it should be its right to decide the process of recruitment. The commission has prepared a proposal and sent it to the government, in which it has been said that the commission will decide the pattern in all the recruitments including Patwari-Lekhpal. No department will decide what its process will be. Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment will proceed only after getting permission from the government.
Huge applications coming in the recruitment of UKSSSC are becoming a new challenge. There are four recruitments in which more than one lakh applications have come. Now it is a big challenge for the commission to conduct their examination. One lakh 43 thousand applications have come in Patwari-Lekhpal Recruitment. Its exam date is not decided yet. One lakh 19 thousand applications have come in Junior Assistant Intermediate level recruitment, whose examination is proposed on 31 October.
Two lakh 20 thousand applications have come for the graduation level recruitment examination, the examination of which is proposed in November. One lakh 57 thousand applications have also come for Forest Guard Recruitment Examination while 90 thousand applications have come for Laboratory Assistant. Due to such huge applications, the commission is facing difficulties in the examination.
Due to the efforts of the government, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has invited applications for new recruitments, but the shadow of the assembly elections is believed to be cast on their examinations.
In fact, the commission is still waiting amidst the possibilities of the election code of conduct in December. The commission says that if the code of conduct is in place, then the officials of the administration will be busy in it. Then the examinations will be held only after the elections.
