Uttarakhand government is going to give professional knowledge to the ST category youths. Professional courses will also be conducted by the youth welfare department to connect scheduled cast youth with employment. In the first phase, a course on food beverage services, food production, and housekeeping is being started. A total of 139 seats have been earmarked for other districts including Dehradun. The last date of application has been fixed for March 3.
According to the notification issued by the department, the duration of these courses will be three months. The department will offer these courses to the youth with the cooperation of the Government Hotel Management Institute (Garhi Cantt). They will also be provided with free accommodation and eating facilities. The youth will be made skilled and employable. They will also give placements to trainees. The department seems to be very excited about this plan.
