After the New Labor Law comes into force, people will get information about new jobs in just 3 days. Not only the government but also the private sector big companies will have to give latest job opening information on the special job portal of the central and state government. This will provide good opportunities to unemployed people. These provisions have been made in the draft Social Security Code-2020 issued by the Central Government. The Central Government has issued this draft on 13 November and has sought suggestions from the people. It is believed that by April 2021, the new labor law will be implemented nationwide.
The central government has made a provision in the new labor laws that a career center will be built in every state. Their job will be to create a proper database of job and employment data. The government has released the draft rules on Code of Social Security. According to this, now the government and private sector will have to give information about vacancies in the Career Center under the state or central government. Not only this, in the states where the career center will not be available, the jobs associated with it will be given only at the main central center.
Provisions have been made in the new law that within 3 days of getting new job information in the system related to the state governments and the central government, it has to be communicated through other means as well as digital medium i.e. portal. The central government has made a provision that state governments have to declare career centers. For this, they can also make the existing employment office a part of it. Also, a provision has been made for agreement with any government or private body.
The private sector attached with government departments, where more than 50 employees work, will have to give new jobs only after giving information about the vacancies available in this system. On the other hand, if any employer wants to give a job in more than one state or needs a job from his state to another state, then it will be made mandatory to give information on the Central Career Center through manual or digital medium. A deadline has also been fixed to give information about new jobs. It is mandatory to give information at the Regional Career Center 15 days before the last date of application for examination or interview and 40 days before the Central Career Center.
Career centers will have to create proper database of job and training providers. Mainly, they have to collect information about the people employed and the unemployed. Along with this, a database of people willing to give guidance in the direction of professional guidance, career counseling and self-employment will also have to be prepared. The draft notification on Code on Social Security 2020 has been released on 13 November and suggestions have been sought from all stakeholders within 45 days. After that it will take the form of law in the country.
