The top agenda of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government is to provide employment to the youth. In the first meeting of the cabinet, giving a gift to the unemployed, an important decision was taken to fill more than 22000 vacant posts in government departments within the next six months. Out of these, Chief Minister Dhami gave instructions to start recruitment on 13000 posts immediately.
The cabinet approved the decision to increase his salary from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 and not consider Atithi Shikshak posts as vacant. Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in the first meeting of the Cabinet held at the Secretariat, important decisions were taken in the interest of youth, guest teachers, Police, UPNL and outsourced employees of MNREGA. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal briefed the decisions of the cabinet. The cabinet took decisions on seven points. Simultaneously, six resolutions were passed. He informed that about 22340 posts of Class II are Class III are vacant in 21 Govt departments in Uttarakhand. The cabinet has given its approval for the early recruitment of these posts.
The backlog posts of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes would be recruited on priority in government departments. The cabinet took a big step to fill up the vacancies at the local level. It was decided to set up all employment offices located in the districts as district level outsourcing agencies. This will provide employment to the local youth in the districts.
More than 3000 guest teachers will be benefited by the decision of the cabinet to increase the salary and not to declare the teaching posts as vacant. Guest teachers have been posted on the vacant posts of teachers in government secondary schools. The cabinet decided to reinstate about 200 contractual teachers who were removed from government polytechnics in 2018. The services of these teachers will be considered restored from 2018. With the end of the service gap, these teachers will be able to get benefit in future direct recruitment.

i would request the government to kindly come up with posts for students who have done their undergraduation in streams other than science and commerce like b.sc in home science.
