There is good news for the youth waiting for the Forest Guards Recruitment Examination of 1218 posts in the Uttarakhand Forest Department. The High Court has removed a stay on the recruitment process. This has opened the way for the recruitment process to begin. Three more cases are pending in the court for recruitment. They are also expected to be resolved soon.
Recruitment of Forest Guards to 1218 posts was first suspended due to educational qualification and after going to the court. The court gave a decision in favor of the Forest Department in the matter of stay before a week ago. After this, the hope of the recruitment process is rise again. The court has given a decision in favor of the Forest Department in the petition filed in the year 2015 to complete the recruitment process of Forest Guard on the district level. This petition was considered to be the biggest obstacle in the way of recruitment.
On the petition seeking the adjustment of daily salaried workers, the High Court had stayed on recruitment shortly after. In October, the commission had asked the Forest Department to conduct a physical examination under the recruitment, after which the forest department was engaged in preparations. On November 01, a contempt petition was filed in the High Court, after which the court asked the Forest Department; despite the stay order, on what basis are you operating the recruitment process. After this, the Forest Department and Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) have banned the process. The hearing is going on in daily salaried cases. Apart from this, there are two other cases which are delaying the recruitment process.
