Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Higher Education said that the process of recruitment of 151 vacancies of Group C and 200 posts of Lecturer in the colleges across the state will start soon. He has instructed the Higher Education Director to send the proposal to the government within a week. He said that the recruitment will be held on the posts of Group C through the Subordinate Service Selection Commission
In a review meeting of the Higher Education Department at Circuit House on Monday, Dr. Rawat said that principals have been deployed in all 102 state colleges. Those who are promoted will not join the post of Principal, they will not be promoted again and hence the waiting list of the Principal’s post has also been made for the first time hence the Post of Principal will not remain vacant. Principals will be deployed based on the waiting list at vacant positions.
On the issue of lack of furniture and books, the minister said that in every degree college, 100% books and furniture will be provided by March 30. The lack of professors in the colleges will soon be overcome. Instructions have been given to the government to appoint the Lecturers selected through the Public Service Commission as soon as possible.
