Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) has released advertisement for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Works) in BSF Engineering (Civil) Setup for the year 2018. Total No. of Post is 103. Last Date of Application form submission is 15 October 2018. These posts are purely on temporary basis but likely to become permanent in future.
The Border Security Force (BSF) is the primary Border Guarding police force of India. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India. It is a Central Armed Police Force charged with guarding India’s land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime.

Not exceeding 30 years of age as on closing date of receipt of application.
Interested candidates may send the dully Filled application form in the given format to any one of the following address (given in original notification below) nearest to the candidate within 30 days from the date of publication of notification. One recent passport size photographs should be affixed each on the application forms and admit cards. Three self-addressed envelopes of size of 25×12 cms with postal stamp worth Rs.41/- each should also be attached with the application form.
The envelope containing application must be super scribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (WORKS) IN BSF ENGG SET UP-2018”.
Candidates have to pay a Rs.200 Demand Draft/Postal Order as examination fees for each application form in favor of the following address to whom the application is addressed. SC/ST/Women/BSF Candidates & Ex-servicemen are exempted from application fees.

Selection of candidates will be based on Written Exam, PET, PST, Documentation, Practical Test and Medical Test. These are divided into 3 phases:
(A) First Phase
(a) Written Examination: The Written Examination will be conducted at the Selection Centers. There will be two papers of the following parts:
(i) First Paper (Objective Type with multiple choices):

(B) Second Phase
Successful candidates in the written exam will appear before the Selection Board of Second Phase Examination that is
(a) Documentation: The documentation will be carried out at the Centre on the date and time fixed by the competent Authority which will be communicated to the candidates. All candidates are advised to bring original documents in claim of their eligibility condition.
(b) Physical Standards Test (PST): Candidates qualified in the Documentation will be put through the Physical Standards Test. PST will be carried out by the selection board to assess Height, Chest and Weight of the candidates according to Physical Standards mentioned at Original Notification given below.
(c) Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Those candidates found fit in PST will be put through for PET which will be qualifying in nature.

(C) Third Phase
Successful candidates in the second phase examination will appear before the selection board of Third Phase Examination at Examination Centre Delhi or nearby states on a date, which will be communicated to them through call letter as well as BSF Website (www.bsf.nic.in).
(a) Practical Test: Candidates declared qualified in Documentation, PST & PET will be eligible to appear for Practical Test. The practical test will be of qualifying in nature.
(b) Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify all the above stages i.e. written exam, Documentation, PST, PET & Practical Test will undergo detailed Medical Examination, which will be carried out by a detailed Medical Officer to assess their Medical fitness.

Note: Last Date of Submitting Application form for the candidates belonging to areas of North Eastern State, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the union territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands or the Union Territory of Lakshadweep is 15 October 2018.
