Good news for all the aspirants preparing for uttarakhand competitive exams. 22 Scientists and 19 Junior Staff posts to be filled soon in Forensic Science Laboratory, Uttarakhand. The recruitment process will be started from the month of August. So, Far Only 7 Scientists are engaged in FSL till now. 6 of them is stationed in the Main Lab at Dehradun and One of them in Rudrapur Lab. To make FSL fully self-reliant, 22 scientists and 19 junior staff will be recruited till next month.
After this recruitment, Computer Forensic, Poly Graph and Audio-Video and other labs can be increased in Uttarakhand. According to officials, the recruitment process for these posts will be completed by the end of August. Forensic Science Laboratory was started in Uttarakhand in late 2006.
Earlier, the necessary scientific tests were done in the Uttar Pradesh and Center Forensic Labs. After separating from Uttar Pradesh, some of the tests are done in FSL Uttarakhand.
From last 12 years, eight types of checks are done in Dehradun and Rudrapur Labs. Among them, complex investigations like DNA and Narcotics have been started in recent years. Along with this, the Visarra check is also being done from last five years. Only seven scientists do all these tests. For this, the exercise of the number of scientists and other support staff was going on for a long time.
Director of FSL Amit Kumar Sinha said that a proposal has been sent to the Uttatrakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) for the recruitment of 22 scientists. While 19 junior staff including lab assistants are being recruited for this through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (UKSSSC). A total of 105 posts are sanctioned in FSL, of which about 50 posts are vacant. A recent examination was conducted for photographers, whose training would be started after the results came out.
So far, for the sample of scientific tests in cyber crimes, was sent to Center Forensic Lab Chandigarh. There was a need for cyber forensics in Dehradun and there nearby areas for such important tests. Last week, Principal Secretary (Home), Anandavardhan had also asked to send a proposal for computer forensics, polygraph test setup and audio video lab. After this the proposal for the three labs has been sent to the government. After completing the recruitment process of scientists, three labs will be started soon.
