Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun invites application from interested and eligible candidates for the 5 posts of research fellow. WII Dehradun has released notification for the recruitment of 2 SRF and 3 JRF for a period of six years for its research project titled “Tiger re-introduction and recovery programme in Panna Tiger Reserve and the landscape complex, Madhya Pradesh: Phase-II”.
WII Dehradun is a wildlife research and management institute dedicately working in research in wildlife of India.

Senior Research Fellows SRF :
Essential Qualification-
Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/Biological Sciences/Veterinary Science/Social Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University and at least 2 years research experience after Post-Graduation.
Desirable Qualification-
Prior experiences in (i) Radio-tracking of wild animals; (ii) capture-recapture sampling involving camera traps; (iii) Occupancy sampling; (iv) socio-economic surveys; (v) Spatial analysis using Remote Sensing and GIS tools.
Senior Research Fellows JRF :
Essential Qualification-
Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/Biological Sciences/Veterinary Science/Social Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification-
Interest and/or experience in (i) distance sampling for prey estimation; (ii) Occupancy sampling; (iii) study of animal behaviour including feeding habits; (iv) capture-recapture sampling involving camera traps; (v) vegetation science; (vi) socio-economic surveys; (vii) habitat evaluation and monitoring.
Contract Duration: Six Years
Selection will be based on interview of the shortlisted candidates.
