The Staff Selection Commission has released notification for the recruitment of the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’. The Staff Selection Commission will hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination on 31.05.2015 at DELHI, ALLAHABAD, MUMBAI, BANGALORE,KOLKATA, GUWAHATI, CHENNAI, CHANDIGARH AND RAIPUR for making additions to the Select List for Grade ‘C’ Stenographers of different Services/Cadres.
Name of the post – Stenographer Grade ‘C’ under following cadre –
1) Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
2) Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service Grade-II;
3) Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
4) Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
5) Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
6) Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers service Grade ‘C’
No. of post – shall be as per vacancy intimated by the indenting Cadres/User Departments.
Pay Scale – Rs.9300-34800 + GP 4200/- (Pay Band 2)
Age Limit – 18 – 27 yrs
Class 12 from recognized board or University.
The application forms from candidates must be submitted in the form prescribed for the Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2015 on or before 20 April 2015. Application form must be completed in the candidate’s own handwriting and sent to –

Candidates will be selected on the merit basis of written objective type examination followed by Skill Test in Stenography at 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ respectively.

Skill Test in Stenography
The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenogr apher Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only . The transcription time is as follows: –
For Stenographer Grade C : 40 minutes (English) & 55 minutes (Hindi)
