The Uttarakhand Forest Department has sent the proposal for the recruitment of 1218 Forest Guards post to the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). Now, there is a written examination will be conducted on the basis of the applications of about 1.5 lakh candidates who applied for these posts two years ago. After the written examination, the Forest Department intends to select about 2500 candidates for the physical examination.
Earlier, the Cabinet had approved the amendment of the rules coming in the way of recruitment of Forest Guard. There was a provision in the manual that the Forest Department should conduct the physical examination first and then take the written examination of the qualified youth. Accordingly, the Forest Department had to take the physical efficiency test of about 1.5 lakh candidates. This was not possible and due to this, it was proposed to amend the rules in the case of forest guards.
Now this revised proposal was approved by the Cabinet. After approval of the Cabinet, now the Forest Department has sent the proposal of conducting revised rules and written examination to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission after permission from the government. According to the information received from the forest Department, only those candidates can participate in the written examination who applied 2 years ago for these posts.
