Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) has released advertisement for the recruitment of 496 ASI (RM), HC (RO) and HC (Fitter) in Communication Wing. Applications are invited from male & female Indian citizens for the post of ASI (Radio Maintenance – RM), Head Constable (HC) (Radio Operator – RO) and Head Constable (HC) (Fitter).
Out of the total vacancies 60% will be done by direct entry and 40% will be on departmental (for BSF serving personnel).

For ASI (RM)
10th with 3 year Diploma in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances. OR 10+2 or Intermediate with 50% and subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
For HC (RO)
10th with 2 year ITI in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics OR 10+2 or Intermediate with 50% and subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
For HC (Fitter)
10th with 2 year ITI in Engine Fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Automobile or Motor Mechanic OR 10+2 or Intermediate with 50% and subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Pay Scale
For ASI (Radio Maintenance) – Rs 5200 – 20,200 (PB-1) + Rs 2800/-
For HC (Radio Operator, Fitter) – Rs 5200 – 20,200 (PB-1) + Rs 2400/-
Age Limit : Between 18 to 25 years on 7 July 2014 for Gen (28 for OBC and 30 for SC/ST)
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written examination and Physical & Medical test. Written exam will of objective type and includes questions on GK, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
Application should be accompanied by a Crossed Bank Draft / Indian Postal Order for Rs. 50/- only for Gen/OBC candidates as the examination fee in favour of The Inspector General or DIG/ Commandant to whom the application is addressed payable at respective SBI/ post office.
Applications duly filled up on the prescribed format be sent to the prescribed recruitment centres as details provided in the detailed advertisement on or before 07/07/2014.
