Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ in various departments as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Staff Selection Commission. Total No. of Post is 1207. Interested and Eligible candidates may apply online for the posts from 02 Aug to 23 Aug 2023.

Interested and Eligible candidates may apply online through the official website www.sssc.nic.in from 02 Aug 2023 to 23 Aug 2023. Applications received through any other mode/means would be summarily rejected.
Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro, Repay Credit or Debit card. Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 25 Aug 2023 (2300 Hrs.). However, candidates who wish to make the payment through challan of SBI may make the payment at designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 23 Aug 2023 provided the Callan has been generated by them before 25 Aug 2023 (2300 Hrs.).
The selection of the candidates will be based on the Computer-based examination and Stenography Skill Test. The scheme of examination is given below:

Note: Marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit.

Note: Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments. Candidates have to work as English/ Hindi stenographers as per the functional requirement of the User Office irrespective of the medium of Skill Test of the candidate during the examination.
