Uttarakhand Forest Department is going to provide several thousand jobs through its forthcoming project. Forest Department in Uttarakhand is going to setup Uttarakhand’s biggest biodiversity park in Muni Ki Reti, Rishikesh. Name of the largest biodiversity park in Uttarakhand would be Shivalik Biodiversity Park.
As Shivalik Biodiversity Park project of Uttarakhand Forest Department got all permissions from Centre & State Govt, the park will be going to develop very soon. After the opening of Shivalik Biodiversity Park, more than 7000 vacancies will be created in this park in different domains.
Shiwalik Biodiversity Park will be spread across 50 hectares of land and will be an attractive natural landscape. Inside of Shivalik Biodiversity Park, there will be a Herbal Eco Park & Nature Park where focus will be on conservation of Himalaya, Development & Livelihood. It will offer more than 7000 jobs to youth of Uttarakhand.
The park will also have a Seed Bank for endangered vegetation of Himalayas, a Herbarium, Nature Learning Centre & Auditorium.
Apart from that, the park will also have miniature replicas of major sites of Uttarakhand such as Chardham Temples. There will be Butterfly conservatory, Valley of Flower with water body, Open Air Aviary and Light & Sound show with ‘Conservation of Ganga River’ theme.
Shivalik Biodiversity Park will connect simple citizen to tourism and Himalaya conservation. It will have 33 types of conservation concepts developed at a cost of INR 65 crores. Situated at the start of Chardham route, it will receive huge tourists too including from 5 Lac tourists who visit Rishikesh each year. The park will also showcase and market the local items and product of Uttarakhand’s farmers, artisans. It will also have testing, processing & marketing units.
