Railway Recruitment Board under Ministry of Railways has released centralised employment notice for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, and Senior Section Engineer (SSE), Chief Depot Material Superintendent. RRB invites online application from eligible candidates for various posts till 19 Oct 2014.

Age Limit : 18 – 33, 20 – 35 Years As Per Requirement
Pay Scale : JE Group – Grade pay Rs 4200/- (Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical &Metallurgical Assistant)
and SSE Group – Grade pay Rs 4600/- (Senior Section Engineer, Chief Depot Material Superintendent)
Four years Bachelor’s Degree in (a) Civil Engineering OR (b) a Combination of any sub stream of Basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
Note:
(i) For RRB Ahmedabad (SSE/P.Way), 1 Vacancy is backlog vacancy, if no suitable OH (OA,OL) Candidate is available, then the same will be filled up by non-PH candiadate.
(ii) For RRB Ahmedabad (SSE/Works) 1 Vacancy is backlog vacancy if no suitable OH(OA,OL) Candidate is available, then the same will be filled up by non-PH candiadate.
(iii) For RRB Ahmedabad (SSE/Drawing(civil)) 02 Vacancies are backlog vacancies if no suitable OH(OL with below knee) Candidate is available, then the same will be filled up by non-PH candiadate.
(iv) For RRB Jammu Srinagar (SSE/Works) 100% of the intake shall be from Civil Engineering.
(v) For Kolkata(CLW) 4 years Engineering Degree in Civil and Medical Standard is B-2.
(vi) For RRB Guwahati & Siliguri, PH person cannot apply for Non-PH Categories as UR/SC/ST/OBC.
Examination Fee : Rs 100/- (for Gen/OBC) No fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minorities/PWD/EBC
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination. The Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The questions paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages. The standard of questions for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or minimum technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning, General Science and Technical Ability. The question paper will have 150 questions, out of which about 90 questions will be of Technical Ability & General Science and about 60 questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning.
Candidates are required to apply ONLINE to any one RRB ONLY, separately for SSE and/or JE group, depending upon their eligibility, on the website of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
