Uttarakhand Govt is preparing a workplan to provide jobs for around 20000 Yoga teachers in the state. The workplan includes to provide employment for Yoga teachers in Schools, Colleges, Hospitals and Tourist centres.
CM Rawat announces to start Yoga practice in 68 Ayurvedic hospitals from July first week. All Ayurvedic colleges will have regular Yoga training classes. Trainer will be from Ayurveda background.
In another pilot project, 150 schools in Rishikesh & Jageshwar zone will have Yoga classes from current session. The classes will be taken by contractual Yoga teacher which will be appointed by government. Addition to that all 3 to 5 Star hotels should have Yoga Centre.
Yoga teachers/ trainers who will get employment in various School, Colleges, Hospitals, Hotels and Tourist centres will be paid minimum Rs 11000 per month.
Yoga Corners in Uttarakhand
About 25 Corporations are instructed to find tourists spots to establish Yoga Corners. A free yoga training service will be provided in these Yoga Corners.
Tourist spots which are already chosen for Yoga Training Centre : Gairsain, Hanol, Devban, Sarnol, Harshil, Munsiyari, Chaukori, Jageshwar, Gwaldam, Khirsu, Mayawati Ashram, Madan Negi etc.
