Uttarakhand government will soon make temporary appointments on 6250 posts in the education department. In this, 2300 vacant posts of guest teacher will be filled. Apart from this, 950 posts of CRP, BRP and 3000 posts of class IV will be recruited through outsource. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a meeting of the School Education Department at the Secretariat on Tuesday, directed the officers to be appointed soon.
The Chief Minister directed that like government schools, free textbooks should also be given to students up to class 12 in non-government schools. The Chief Minister said that damaged school buildings should be repaired in the state. All the students from class 9th to 12th in all government and non-government schools of the state should be given free textbooks from the next academic session.
IAS, IPS and IFS officers should also inspect all the arrangements of schools from time to time for qualitative improvement in education and other arrangements in schools. A roster should be made for this. The recruitment process of teachers which has been completed, should be given appointment soon.
Alternative arrangements should be made for teaching in schools so that classes are not affected during the medical leave of teachers and maternity leave and child care leave of teachers. A proposal should be sent to the Commission soon for the vacant posts of Principal, Lecturer and Assistant teachers. The benefits to the teachers on their retirement should be paid on time.
