Heavy Water Board (HWB) under Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India has released advertisement for recruitment in Trainee under different disciplines. HWB invites online applications from eligible candidates for appointment of various Trainees, Officers and Technician in various Heavy Water Plants.

Heavy Water Board (HWB), a constituent unit under Department of Atomic Energy in the Government of India is primarily responsible for production of Heavy Water (D2O) which is used as a ‘moderator’ and ‘Coolant’ in nuclear power as well as research reactors. India is one of the largest manufacturers of heavy water in the world.

Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science and Maths + ITI certificate in Electrical Trade
Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science and Maths + bITI certificate in Instrument-Mechanic/Electronics/Electronics & Comm./Electronics & Tele Comm. Trade
Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (10+2 or 12 years schooling duration) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Station Officer /A PB-2 9300-34800 + Grade Pay 4800 – Passed SSC or equivalent + Certificate of Station Officer’s course of the National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre. OR Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineering, India/London.
– Minimum experience of 5 years in a post not below the rank of Sub-Officer in a well
established whole time fire services organisation is essential
Sub Officer / B1 PB-2 9300-34800 + Grade Pay 4200 – SSC or equivalent + Sub Officer’s Course from National Fire Services College OR from CISF Fire Training Centre. (Persons with valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence will be given preference.)
– 5 years experience as Leading Fireman OR 8 years experience as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a recognized Civil/Industrial Fire Service Station
Technician C/D (Crane Operator) PB-1 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2400 (For Technician/C) – Minimum 60 % marks in SSC OR HSC with Science & Maths.
– Experience in Operation and Maintenance of Coles/TIL/Escorts Tyre Mounted Cranes, Tata P&H Crawler Crane, 35 MT Tractor Trailer and Forklifts (Electrical & Diesel Operated) in a reputed Industry / Organisation.
– Minimum 4 years of experience for Technician/C and Minimum 8 yrs of experience for Technician/D.
– Candidates should possess valid Heavy Vehicle driving licence.
PB-1 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2800 (For Technician/D)
Technician C/D (Mechanic cum Dozer Operator) PB-1 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2400 (PB-1) (For Technician/C) – Minimum 60 % marks in SSC or HSC with Science and Mathematics + Trade Certificate in Diesel
Mechanic of one year duration.
– Experience in Operation and Maintenance of 1000 KVA Diesel Generator and BEML Dozer is essential.
– Minimum 4 years experience for Technician/C and – Minimum 8 years of experience for Technician/D.
Candidates should possess valid Heavy Vehicle driving licence.
PB-1 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2800 (PB-1) (For Technician/D)

How to Apply

Desirous and eligible candidates can apply only through online mode on the official website www.hwb.gov.in OR hwb.mahaonline.gov.in. The applications should be submited before 31.01.15 upto 2400 hrs.

Fee – Candidates are required to pay Rs.20/- + services tax as applicable. (SC/ST, Women, Ex-servicemen and Physically Challenged persons are exempted from Application Processing Fee).

Selection Procedure

Selection process is different for different posts –

a) Station Officer/A & Sub Officer/B1 – Selection will be on the basis of Physical Assessment, Command Test.

b) Technician C/D (Crane Operator) – Selection will be on the basis of performance in the Trade Test and Personal Interview.

c) Technician C/D (Mechanic cum Dozer Operator) – Selection will be on the basis of performance in the Trade Test and Personal Interview.
