State govt will start recruitment on 3660 posts of home guards from January 2017. Chief Minister Harish Rawat, while addressing the 16th ca. parade at Home Guard Headquarters Nannurkeda, Dehradun also announced that from now the Home Guard will be strengthened in the state. During the training period they got paid allowance Rs 50 per day, but from now it has been increased upto Rs 400 on duty basis.
The recruitment process will start in this coming year, it will be completed in three phase process. In 3660 post, 40% posts are for female candidates. Recently state government has approved the procedure for Home Guard recruitment. According to the stats total 6144 home guards has been recruited till now, very soon they will be 10,000 in numbers. CM has also announced to open civil defence unit in Almora,Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag.
