In a major development in teachers recruitment, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has directed the centre govt to relax the CTET & state’s TET obligatory during recruitments of teachers. CAT makes this judgement to overcome the lack of teacher in schools. Now a candidate without CTET & TET will be eligible to become teacher.
CAT also said that instead of eligibility exams, experience should be given preference in the teacher recruitment process. The bench headed by member of CAT AK Bhardwaj gives judgement rejecting November 2010 notification by HRD ministry. Advocate of applicants Ashok Agarwal file the case against the notification declaring it against Act 23 of Right For Education.
Now candidates who has not qualifies any TET’s may apply to teacher vacancy.
