Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has released an advertisement for recruitment of 270 Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is Indias central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, Geologists’ Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination.

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
The Selection Procedure/Scheme of the Exam. will be as follows –
(i) Written Examination :
– The written examination to be conducted by UPSC will be held on 26 June, 2016 and will comprise two papers.
– Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
– Paper I General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
– Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks
(ii) Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Test

(iii) Interview/Personality Test – 150 marks
The desirous and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website www.upsconline.nic.in latest by 23:59 HRS ON 08 April 2016. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. www.upsconline.nic.in.
Fee – Candidates (except Female/SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
