CM Harish Rawat has announced that around 30,000 positions will be filled with desirable candidates, this year. According to him, 14,500 posts has been filled until now, the remaining 15,500 positions are targeted to fulfill by the end of this year. With the help of the Youth Welfare Department, training is being given to the candidates who want to get recruited in the Army. Under this initiative, the unemployed youth will be given startup money too. At present, about 2000 candidates have been selected. While addressing the Soldiers Diwali Mela at Uttarkashi, the Chief Minister said a number of state programs will be started soon, under which women will be given a grant up to Rs 1 lakh for collective farming and a pension of Rs 1000/- will be given to elderly women above 65 years. He also promised that all the villages of Uttarakhand will have swift roads by 2018.
