Uttarakhand government is going to offer a golden opportunity shortly to the Yoga teachers by recruiting 10000 yoga teachers for teaching yoga and pranayam in state-run Ayurvedic hospitals. CM Rawat announced the good news on the occasion of International Yoga Day celebration on 21 June. He also said, "The appointments will be made on ad-hoc basis which will diminish the employment concern of more than 20,000 yoga teachers in the state".
Uttarakhand Govt may recruit 10000 Yoga teaching faculty for Ayurvedic Hospitals in Uttarakhand. CM Rawat added the Ayurvedic hospitals across the state will be soon implemented with hourlong Yoga and Pranayam sessions within few weeks. The scheme will be implemented in phases step by step. The first phase will cover district Ayurvedic hospitals. And second phase will focus on extending it to other civic bodies including the municipal corporation and nagar panchayat. These civic bodies will be made to build a park specially for yoga practice by the name of Yoga and Natural Therapy Parks.
Witnessing International Yoga Day, the state also celebrated with CM Harish Rawat. Performing asanas with other participants he said if he could learn yoga at this age, so could other people do.
He told best ways possible will be followed to promote yoga. Yoga Grams (Yoga Villages) will be developed in different districts to spread awareness among people of significance of yoga. The setting up of yoga base tents at Rishikesh and Tanakpur for conducting yoga programmes was also aired by a senior officer in the state tourism department. A particular ghat will be developed and beautified for a yoga campaign by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam during upcoming Ardh Kumbh. "Yoga instructors will also be give certificate and diploma courses in foreign languages at Doon university to help to go abroad to teach yoga," he said.
